Repairing the context menu of folders

Q. Double clicking on a file in Windows Explorer does not open it. It instead performs another action. How do I set it back t defaults?
Ans. it only takes a slight detour via the registry to change this.
1)Open the Registry Editor by clicking on "Start|Run",type "regedit" and click on "OK".
2)Navigate to the "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell" key.
3)Select the incorrect command and delete it.Now you just have to restore the desired standard action.
3)Navigate to the key "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell".
4)On the right hand side of the Registry Editor window double click the value name "Default".
5)Replace the name of the undesired cotext command with "Open". This way, you transfer further control to the file type "folder".
6)Now open the Windows Explorer.Click on "Tools|Folder Options".
7)Select the entry "NONE FOLDER"in the "File Types" tab.Click on "Advanced".
8)Only one action other than "Open" can be defined in the dialog box which should be set "As Default".
9)Confirm the dialog box with "OK" and "Close".
